Holy Week
Schedule
Palm Sunday, April 1
The children will lead us in a procession of palms as we open the service. This is always a festive and joyous time as we enter into Holy Week remembering how Jesus entered into Jerusalem.
Christ in the Passover, April 2
We will be hosting “Christ in the Passover” in the Family Life Center. We will be seated around tables and have the opportunity to participate in a model Seder meal and taste some of the foods used in it. The service will begin at 6:30 p.m. and will conclude with Holy Communion. It is a wonderful experience as it helps us to understand how God in the Passover meal was pointing to Christ. This service is open to the entire family and children are encouraged to attend. Nursery care will be available for those who wish to use it.
Good Friday, April 6
We will hold a service at 7:00 p.m. We are looking to join with the Pataskala Nazarene Church in this service. Plans are underway and details will be forthcoming.
Easter Sunday, April 8
We will hold our traditional service at 8:00 a.m. and our contemporary service at 10:30 a.m. – both in the sanctuary. There will be no Sunday School on this Sunday as the youth will be serving breakfast in the Family Life Center from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Freewill offering baskets will be on the tables to help with the cost and to raise funds for their summer youth mission work trip.
