Nursery
Our nursery workers provide a safe and friendly environment for your children from birth through 24 months. We want parents to be comfortable leaving their children in our care while they participate in worship. We recognize the importance in nurturing a child’s faith in God long before they can walk or talk through the warmth, security and supervision our caregivers provide. Loving adults from our congregation staff our nursery. There is a team of caregivers who are each assigned one Sunday per month. There is a closed circuit television in the nursery that allows the worship service to be viewed and heard while in the nursery. Nursery care is also provided during special services and as needed during other occasions.

Kid’s Choir
We will take the summer months off for kid's choir and begin again this Fall!!

Kid's Church (K-5th grade)
Kid's Church for K-5th grade children is provided during the 11:00 a.m. worship service. The children begin at 11:00 a.m. with their own praise and worship time in the Family Life Center. This consists of announcements, fun songs of praise, sharing of joys and concerns, prayer, and an offering for missions. There is then a Bible lesson presented using the 252 Basics curriculum. 252 Basics is built around three Basic Truths every child should embrace according to what Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52, "Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man". Each Basic Truth is amplified by a weekly key concept and includes a Bible story. Each lesson is based on a Core Virtue and a Memory Verse. It is designed to engage children in worship within a large group setting. Music, prayer, and an innovative approach to the Bible story are always a part of this interactive time. During the last twenty minutes of our time together, the children are split into three age groups where they participate in a variety of activities which reinforce the Bible lesson and teach them scripture verses.

Etna U.M.C.'s Mom's Day Out

The Mom's Day Out program will begin the 2010-11 school year on Thursday, September 16. If you have a child six months old to five years old, we would love to enroll them in our program. This program gives stay-at-home moms (and other caregivers) a much needed day for themselves. The program also allows the enrolled children to be exposed to a Christian curriculum, socialization, and lots of fun! The program is held on Thursdays and runs September through May on the same schedule as Southwest Licking Schools. It begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m.

The registration fee is $20 per child. The fee is non-refundable and secures a place for your child in the program. The cost per month for the program is $60 for one child, $85 for two children, and $110 for three children. For more information, contact Bev Koch at cabkoch@insight.rr.com.
