PIZZA WITH THE PASTOR
Pizza with the pastor is an opportunity to meet with the pastoral staff and to share in a time of fellowship over some pizza and pop and to get to know one another better. It also is a time to both ask questions and to hear about some of the ministries that are taking place in the life of the church. It is intended for those who are newer to the church. Childcare is available. The upcoming Pizza with the Pastor will be Sunday, August 1, 12:30 to 2:00 p.m.
Etna U.M.C.'s Blood Drive
Interested in helping those in need? Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. One out of every 10 people admitted in a hospital needs blood. Shortages of all blood types usually occur during the summer and winter holidays. If you are O-positive or O-negative, you have a particularly special gift. Come join Etna United Methodist Church on Thursday, August 12th, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. in their effort to help save lives. Registration will be in the North Overflow and the Blood Drive will take place in the South Overflow. Each person will donate 1 pint of blood and that pint of blood will help save three lives. Etna U.M.C.'s Mom's Day Out
The Mom's Day Out program will begin the 2010-11 school year on Thursday, September 16. If you have a child six months old to five years old, we would love to enroll them in our program. This program gives stay-at-home moms (and other caregivers) a much needed day for themselves. The program also allows the enrolled children to be exposed to a Christian curriculum, socialization, and lots of fun! The program is held on Thursdays and runs September through May on the same schedule as Southwest Licking Schools. It begins at 9:00 a.m. and ends at 2:00 p.m.
The registration fee is $20 per child. The fee is non-refundable and secures a place for your child in the program. The cost per month for the program is $60 for one child, $85 for two children, and $110 for three children. For more information, contact Bev Koch at cabkoch@insight.rr.com.
